What is powder coating?
Powder coating is a process that involves spraying powder onto a surface. It is used to provide decoration, protection and durability to the items. Utilising powder coating creates a more solid finish than conventional paint.
How does powder coating work?
The powder is sprayed using an electrostatic gun which has two electrodes. The gun is connected to an electric power supply which provides the necessary voltage difference between the two electrodes. The air pressure generated by the gun forces the powder through a nozzle and onto the surface of the object being coated.
